Welcome to the online home of the Worcester Hills Recorder Society (WHRS). Founded in 1995, WHRS is comprised of players of all levels who gather to play on a regular basis. We are affiliated with the Joy of Music Program, and are a chapter of the American Recorder Society.
WHRS meets regularly at members’ homes throughout the year. Here is the schedule for the ’19-’20 season:
Sept. 22 (2-5 pm): Coach: Sheila Beardslee, Location: Paxton, MA
Oct. 20 (2-5 pm): Coach: Carol Lewis, Location: Paxton, MA
Nov. 17 (2-5 pm): Coach: Chris Rua, Location: Paxton, MA
Jan. 25 (4-9 pm): Potluck Supper & Playing Session, Coach: Sheila Beardslee, Location: Auburn, MA (snow date and location are Feb. 1 in Paxton, MA)
Feb. 9 (2-5 pm): Coach: Lisle Kulbach, Location: Paxton, MA
Mar. 8 (2-5 pm): Coach: Sarah Cantor, Location: Paxton, MA
** The April meeting has been cancelled due to COVID-19.**
** The 25th Anniversary Celebration originally scheduled for June has been postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19.**
The annual membership fee is $65; the drop-in fee for a single session is $15. Directions to meeting locations are provided upon request via email.
